Who We Are
HIGSI Disability Network is a Canadian, community-led nonprofit organization founded by persons with disabilities who bring lived experience, resilience, leadership, and firsthand knowledge of the barriers faced by people with disabilities — committed to the full inclusion, participation, and empowerment of newcomers, refugees, and members of the Somali community in Ontario.
We work together to create opportunities, remove barriers, and build a more inclusive and accessible society for all.

Our Story
HIGSI Disability Network began with a simple but powerful belief that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves equal access to opportunities, respect, and a sense of belonging. Founded by and for persons with disabilities, HIGSI has grown into a trusted organization that provides support, advocacy, and programs to help individuals and families build brighter futures.
